At The Kitchen in the city centre they love food!

They love creating it, growing it, cooking it, eating it and sharing it! Located on Sadler Gate in the city centre there is indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy a delicious lunch or homemade cake and watch the world go by. There is room for pushchairs during quieter periods, so is a little more suitable for families with children aged three plus. However, stopping by with your baby is welcome and the helpful staff are happy to warm bottles or food for you.

The Kitchen is open Monday to Saturday 8am until 5pm. The lunch menu is available all day and the adult portions are easily large enough to share with a younger child, the luxury fish finger sandwich with a bucket of fries will never fail to please. The menu includes gourmet sandwiches, paninis, platters and salads. A particular favourite is the Pulled Pork sandwich made with pork roasted for four hours and tossed with a sticky oriental glaze, topped with handmade coleslaw and served with fries, simply delicious. The quality is outstanding and the flavours amazing.

Breakfast is served from 8am until 11.30am and the menu is extensive, with vegetarian options available. There is also a newly added afternoon tea served 2.15pm until 4.15pm if you are in need of an afternoon pick-me-up whilst out shopping. The coffee is fresh and the cakes are all homemade. Recommendations include the sticky, sweet Mars Bar crispy slice and the enormous flavoured meringues topped with freshly whipped cream and fruit sauces.

Another passion of Wendy and the team at The Kitchen is fresh, home-grown vegetables. Some of the vegetables served at The Kitchen are grown in their own vegetables patches! British weather permitting they grow as much as possible to so they can harvest and cook the produce served in The Kitchen. It is clear they have a real passion for food and take great care over every detail so that the food and beverages are of the highest quality and flavour. The Kitchen even has its own ‘Recipe Corner’ where customers have pegged up their own favourite recipes to share with others. Why not pop in next time you are passing and sample some of the produce at The Kitchen?
